Using mentor texts, graphic organizers, checklists, and targeted lesson prompts, students will learn to write strong beginnings and endings, stretch important moments with descriptive details, incorporate dialogue, and show thoughts and feelings through their writing. Throughout the unit, students will plan, draft, revise, edit, and illustrate their very own memoir books while developing their confidence as authors.
