This week, students will read and explore A Sick Day for Amos McGee by Philip C. Stead as they learn about the importance of kindness, friendship, and caring for others. Learners will explore how friends support one another during difficult times and recognize that even small acts of care can make a big difference. Students will also read Bear Feels Sick by Karma Wilson as a connected text, comparing how characters show compassion, helpfulness, and friendship when someone is feeling unwell.
