This week, students will read and explore Bear and Wolf by Daniel Salmieri as they learn about friendship, trust, and the value of spending time with others. Through discussion, vocabulary, and story analysis, students will focus on summarizing important events and describing how friendships develop over time. Learners will explore how characters build connections despite their differences and recognize the qualities that help friendships grow stronger. Students will also read South by Patrick McDonnell as a connected text, examining themes of helping others, loyalty, and working together during challenging situations.
