Beginning Scissor Skills Cutting Practice

This resource is designed to introduce children to cutting skills and proper scissor use through a variety of line patterns that gradually increase in difficulty, helping students practice cutting along the line with confidence.

Thumb guides are included to help students hold the paper with their supporting hand and guide it through the scissors. These guides are provided for both left-handed and right-handed learners. A second set without thumb guides is also included for students who are gaining mastery and ready for more independent practice.

With a fun dinosaur theme, this no-prep resource makes practicing fine motor and cutting skills engaging and easy—just print and use!
