This week, students will read and explore Our Table by Peter H. Reynolds as they learn about the importance of family connection and spending time together. Through discussion, vocabulary, and story analysis, students will focus on identifying problems and solutions within a story and describing how characters change over time. Learners will explore themes of togetherness, routines, and relationships while recognizing how shared experiences help build stronger connections. Students will also read Saturday at the Food Pantry by Diane O’Neill as a connected text, exploring how meals and gathering together can strengthen families and communities.

Each Belonging in Books unit is built around a high-quality read-aloud and carefully designed to:
