This week, students will read and explore The Hello, Goodbye Window by Norton Juster as they learn about family traditions and special memories shared across generations. Through discussion, vocabulary, and story analysis, students will focus on making text-to-self connections and identifying how everyday routines shape relationships. Learners will explore themes of love, belonging, and connection while recognizing how small traditions can become meaningful parts of family life. Students will also read A Map Into the World by Kao Kalia Yang as a connected text, exploring how relationships and caring for others help us understand our place in the world.
