This week, students will read and explore The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats as they learn about imagination and enjoying simple childhood experiences. Through discussion, vocabulary, and story analysis, students will focus on visualizing story events and describing how illustrations help tell the story. Learners will explore themes of curiosity, discovery, and joy while recognizing how everyday weather can turn into an exciting adventure. Students will also read Snow Day! by Lester Laminack as a connected text, exploring the excitement and fun that snowy days can bring.
