Alliteration Picture Match Strips Initial Phoneme/ Beginning Sound Match

This resource introduces and reinforces initial phoneme awareness, allowing students to practice isolating, identifying, and matching beginning sounds.

Each strip includes an anchor image with three tiles that start with the same beginning sound for students to match. The set covers:

• All letters of the alphabet
• Short and long vowels
• Digraphs /ch/, /sh/, and /th/

These alliteration strips are perfect for morning work, literacy centers, independent practice, early finisher activities, or Montessori shelf work.

Full lesson plans are included, guiding teachers through initial presentation, exploration, independent practice, and ideas for extending the resource.
