Bird and Feather Match
Pickup currently not available
This resource features real photographs of 20 different common backyard birds, along with close-up tiles of their feathers and feather patterns. Students examine each feather tile closely, observing details such as colors, shades, textures, and patterns, and then match it to the correct bird image.
This activity helps develop visual discrimination and observation skills, encouraging students to notice even the smallest details while making accurate matches.
It is a great addition to a Project-Based Learning unit about birds and works well for:
- Morning bins
- Learning centers
- Early finisher activities
- Independent practice
This resource is Montessori-aligned, using real photographs instead of clipart to support authentic learning and encourage careful observation of real-world details.
