Earth Day Caring for Earth Wheel FREEBIE

This free Earth Day activity is a great way for students to discuss and explore ways to care for the Earth. Students will color and cut out the cover layer, then draw and/or write about six different ways they can help protect the Earth, such as recycling, turning off lights, and picking up trash.
Once finished, students will cut out the wheel, place it beneath the cover, and insert a brad through the center hole so the wheel can spin. As they rotate the wheel, they can talk about each of the six ways to care for the Earth.
This activity is a perfect addition to a Project-Based Learning (PBL) unit, a fun option for Earth Day learning centers, and an easy, low-prep activity to leave for a guest teacher.
