This week, students will read and explore Goodbye Friend, Hello Friend by Cori Doerrfeld as they learn about the many transitions they experience in everyday life. Through discussion, vocabulary, and story analysis, students will focus on summarizing key events and identifying the theme of change and new beginnings. Learners will explore themes of transition, connection, and growth while recognizing how saying goodbye to one thing often means saying hello to something new. Students will also read The Rabbit Listened by Cori Doerrfeld as a connected text, exploring how support and understanding can help us move through difficult changes.
