This week, students will read and explore Greta and the Giants by Zoë Tucker as they learn how one person’s voice can inspire change and help protect the Earth. Through discussion, vocabulary, and story analysis, students will focus on understanding the author’s purpose and identifying how persuasion and opinion are used to share an important message. Learners will explore themes of courage, responsibility, and standing up for what is right while recognizing the power of working together to create change. Students will also read The Tantrum That Saved the World by Megan Herbert as a connected text, exploring how individuals can use their voices and actions to make a positive impact on their communities and the environment.
