Spring Mystery Words CVC, Blends, and Digraphs

This resource is a favorite among early readers and writers! It includes 36 mystery word strips that cover key phonics patterns such as short vowel CVC, CCVC, and CVCC words, as well as initial and final blends and CCVC digraph spelling patterns.

Students will identify the pictures, isolate the initial phoneme, and place a magnetic letter or write the letter that represents the beginning sound in the box below each image. Once all letters are recorded, they’ll decode and blend the mystery word, turning phonics practice into a fun, hands-on challenge!
