This week, students will read and explore The Kindest Red by Ibtihaj Muhammad as they learn about empathy, inclusion, and choosing kindness in everyday moments. Through discussion, vocabulary, and story analysis, students will focus on summarizing the story by identifying the characters, setting, problem, and solution using key details. Learners will discover how simple acts of compassion can help others feel seen, valued, and included. Students will also read Most People by Michael Leannah as a connected text, exploring how kindness, understanding, and caring for others help create a more welcoming world.
