This week, students will read and explore Too Many Carrots by Katy Hudson as they learn about sharing, friendship, and solving problems together. Through discussion, vocabulary, and story analysis, students will focus on identifying cause-and-effect relationships by explaining how one event leads to another throughout the story. Learners will discover how selfish choices can create problems while generosity and cooperation help build stronger friendships. Students will also read A Perfectly Messed-Up Story by Patrick McDonnell as a connected text, exploring how unexpected challenges can become opportunities to adapt, solve problems, and enjoy the journey.
