Weather Write the Room Scavenger Hunt

This resource includes 2 “Write the Room” scavenger hunts: Types of Weather and Weather Instruments. Each scavenger hunt comes with three differentiated recording sheets to meet the needs of all learners.

This activity is easy to set up and perfect for independent work, centers, early finishers, entry tasks, or incorporating movement into your classroom.

How it works:

1. Choose which scavenger hunt your learners will complete (or run multiple at the same time).
2. Tape the picture-and-label tiles around your learning space for students to seek and find.
3. Students use the appropriate recording sheet to match the picture tiles with the correct labels.

Differentiation options include:

• Solid tracing for pre-writers
• Dotted tracing for students learning letter formation
• Blank sheets for students ready to write independently

This hands-on activity builds vocabulary, literacy, and observation skills while adding movement and engagement to your lessons.
