Winter Sight Word Snowballs

This sight word game includes 36 sight word snowballs and 4 variations of game mats. With this resource students can:

• Matching: Place the sight word snowball set that matches your chosen recording sheet and place the snowballs in a sensory bin, or spread out face down on a work surface. Students will select a snowball, read the sight word, then color the matching word on their recording sheet, place a math cube or manipulative over the matching word, or place the snowball on top of the recording sheet snowball that matches.
• Writing: Place the sight word snowball set that matches your chosen recording sheet and place the snowballs in a sensory bin, or spread out face down on a work surface. Students will select a snowball, read the sight word, then write the word in a snowball on the recording sheet.
• In addition, if you have them put the snowballs back into the bin, you can also provide crayons for students to rainbow write over their words if they draw the same snowball again.

This makes the perfect phonics center, mornings bin, sensory bin, early finisher activity, independent practice, or Montessori shelf work.
