Blends Onset and Rime Word Building No Prep Pack

This resource includes 10 no-prep worksheets designed to help students practice segmenting, blending, encoding, and writing words with initial and final consonant blends. Students will work with common blend types, including l-blends, r-blends, s-blends, ending blends, and both initial and final blends.

Each worksheet provides opportunities for students to segment sounds, identify word parts, cut and glue to build words, and write the completed word, reinforcing their understanding of consonant blends.

Aligned with the Science of Reading, this resource supports the development of foundational phonics skills such as letter–sound recognition, segmenting, blending, encoding, and writing.

These worksheets are versatile and easy to use, making them perfect for whole-group instruction, independent student practice, literacy centers, intervention groups, substitute teacher plans, or additional practice at home.
