Comparing Numbers and Quantity Sorts
Pickup currently not available
This resource includes two hands-on sorting activities designed to help children compare numbers and quantities.
None, Few, Many
Using color-coded tiles, children compare groups of objects and sort them based on whether they show none, a few, or many. This activity builds early understanding of zero, as well as the concepts of more and less.
Number Comparison
Children draw a number tile, then compare picture tiles to the given digit. They sort each one based on whether it is more than, less than, or equal to the number.
This resource is ideal as a first introduction to comparing numbers and quantities. It works well for Montessori shelf activities, independent practice, entry tubs, math centers, or small group instruction.
